UKAS ACCREDITED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

As a UKAS accredited Testing Laboratory and Inspection Body, the South Yorkshire Laboratory meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020.

The Laboratory is regularly and stringently assessed by independent experts in our field of Testing.

Initially, UKAS Accreditation was gained in July 1989 and now covers our main Ecclesfield Laboratory, Site Testing, Sampling, Site Laboratory Testing and Asbestos Surveying. 

Our third party Accreditation quality management system assures you the client that:

• Your work will be carried out to the highest standards.

• All measurements are traceable to national and international standards.

• Agreed or specified methods and procedures have been followed.

The South Yorkshire Laboratory has controlled over 20 large construction and demolition schemes from UKAS accredited Site Laboratories.  These have involved materials testing on major new and improvement highway infrastructures, land reclamation/regeneration schemes and a new Airport, as well as Asbestos analytical services for a chemical works descaling contract and the demolition of an overseas power station.
